Our day started off at Blomvlei primary school. After being introduced to the head teacher and learning more about the important work of the school in the community, we presented them with a donation of books to add to their library. We then split up into small groups and visited some classes. We interacted with the pupils and they asked us many questions about Scotland. We also watched the marching band rehearsal. After our visit to the primary we met with the ex head teacher of mountview high school, Mr Benjiman. He told us about his experience of being a teacher during and after the apartide period, and shared his stories with us. After that, we went for dinner in Moyo african restaurant in Eden on the Bay. We sat with our feet in the water then had some great food. It was an amazing day, and extremely inspiring to meet the staff and pupils of Blomvlei primary school.
