S4 & S5 Progression
Pupils moving into S5 will study 5 subjects.
Pupils moving into S6, will complete at least 4 subjects, with 6 non-contact periods integrated into their timetable where pupils can access a range of volunteering opportunities, undertake Ambassador and House Captain duties and undertake private study.
House teams will recommend subjects that best fit a pupils prior attainment, achievement and career aspirations, taking into consideration academic and skills progression.
Note: Where numbers for a given subject are particularly low, especially in the case of Advanced Highers, there are Virtual Academy and Consortium arrangements in place that we would look to take advantage of to ensure all pupils access the best range of qualifications to suit their need.
