S6 Volunteering Opportunities for new S6 pupils

COVEY Training has been arranged for new S6 volunteers who are interested in befriending on Thursday 16th June, 9.30am to 1pm, in the Civic Centre in East Kilbride. Please pass your name to Mrs Dodds if you would like to be part of it.

 SNAP A visit to Greenburn School to meet with the manager  of SNAP will be arranged middle to late June for any S6 volunteers wishing to work with adults/children with special needs. Please pass your name to Mrs Dodds if you would like to be part of it.

10/5/2016 Hairdessing Apprenticeship - Nicole from Davidson and Green in Clarkston are looking for an apprentice hairdresser. They are looking for someone with a real interest in hair and who is mannerly and reliable. Hours are Tuesday Saturday from 9-6 but  probably working till 8 on a Thursday and sometimes Friday. We have an exciting opportunity for a number of individuals to commence a 4 yearengineering career in August 2016 via our Engineering Modern Apprenticeship programme.

We are looking to recruit apprentices who have ambition, drive and enthusiasm combined with a positive attitude. The successful applicants will be working within the Central Belt of Scotland, with the opportunity to work at 4 different sites including one of our distilleries. The training will comprise of on-site practical training, college based studies and off-the-job training with a local training provider.

At the end of the Apprenticeship you will qualify as a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician and will have the skills required to pursue a career in engineering.

You must have Maths, English, Physics and ideally a technical subject e.g. craft & design or engineering skills/graphic communications. These should be at National 5 level or Intermediate 2 or Credit grade (already achieved or currently studying at this level). In addition, you must also demonstrate a keen interest in engineering.  click here for more details.

Assure alarms ( based in Kelvin industrial Estate ) are looking for SIX electrical/electronic engineer apprentices. Criteria is you must be 16+ and have  reasonable standard of education.
